COVID-19 Information
Dear Patients of Prima Family Dental,
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. While many things have changed over the last few months, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
In a recent email we stated that our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
We inevitably have to charge all patients an Infection Control fee of $20.00 per visit, aiming to help cover the increased costs of personal protective equipment (PPE) needed to help minimize the risk of coronavirus transmission. The increased PPE costs are an additional financial challenge for our practice. Some insurance companies are willing to cover the cost of the increase in PPE, but most unfortunately are not. We understand this can come as an inconvenience for some and so we are willing to give a refund after a claim has been submitted and if paid by the insurance.
