The PDO thread lift is a facial cosmetic treatment that aims to rejuvenate the skin on your face. There are lots of different reasons why someone may choose to have a PDO thread lift, including combating the signs of aging, reducing the amount of flab on the face, preventing bags around the eyes, and reducing the appearance of laughter lines. It’s also used to lift and tighten sagging skin anywhere on the body, but mostly on the face and neck.
Now we can offer a cosmetic treatment that is fantastic for lifting and tightening the skin. A PDO thread lift has been described as being a “non-surgical” face lift, a brilliant alternative for those who don’t want to go under the knife. It works like a dermal filler, but leaves a thread instead of the normal injectable solution. It involves implanting polydioxanone threads into layers of skin using a very fine needle. These remain in the skin to help stimulate collagen synthesis. It takes around 6 months for the threads to be properly absorbed, producing new collagen.
